Bursing sentation in urinary track during pregnancy
Question: Is urine reduced during pregnancy? What is the remedy for burning sensation in the urinary tract?
Urine output does not and should not decrease, during pregnancy. If, however, this does happen, it will lead to water retention and subsequent edema. Insufficient intake of water and excessive perspiration are responsible for low urine output. At least 5-6 glasses of water should be taken daily.
In the early stages of pregnancy, the uterus exerts pressure upon the urinary bladder and therefore, the urge to pass urine is fairly frequent. This also occurs a few days before the onset of labour.
Plenty of water and other fluids should be taken to counteract the burning sensation. If this symptom persists in spite of adequate urinary output or there is pain in the abdomen or back there is possibility of infection in the bladder or urethra. Consult a doctor for remedial action.
