Minor Heart Attack

Recently I experienced an episode of fainting (blackout”) accompanied by perspiration on the forehead. Does it sound a case of mini-stroke or heart attack/seizure? Are there any alternative remedies to lower high blood pressure? Can garlic and groundnut really help reverse heart disease?

It is very difficult to pinpoint the cause of a single episode of fainting. You have not mentioned what you were doing or what your posture was when this episode happened. This can be secondary to various conditions like exceedingly slow or fast heart rate. Or it may be completely unrelated to both conditions. You have mentioned that you have chest pain. If these (fainting) episodes are I associated with exertion or at rest, which your physician thinks anginal in nature, you should undergo investigations to prove the diagnosis. There are no specific alternative  remedies to lower high blood pressure, I though the fact remains that you have to  observe dietary restrictions, limit salt, eat  moderately. Exercise is the best solution  for hypertension. There is no scientific data as of now to prove that garlic and groundnut can reverse heart disease. At best they can help lower cholesterol.
